Jini

Jini is a Sun initiative to create federations of users based on physical proximity or logical organisation, and to allow Services to be advertised and used based on federation membership.

Jini contains many concepts useful to Jtrix, because its notion of resources is somewhat similar, though Jini is not primarily concerned with code mobility as is Jtrix, nor with the commercial elements of a resource. Jini applications stay put, using service relationships to communicate and federate.

Jtrix and Jini should complement each other nicely, Jtrix providing an ideal environment from which to deploy services accessed via Jini.
