While a node might allow Harry's netlets to write files directly, they probably won't want to. And nor would Harry. He wants his files to be available independently of who he hosts with.
Harry will be pleased to know that a file system service is one of the standard Jtrix services. The service offers redundancy, meaning when Harry writes a file to the system it is stored in several locations in case a meteor other catastrophe hits one of them, and of course it is distributed.
Any number of vendors can provide their own implementation of the storage system at competing prices. Harry may choose one or more, or may implement it himself. Because it is open source, any one vendor is free to make improvements on the original.
